The Good Doctor

One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish...

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!  It seems doubtful you could have known your ridiculous rhymes and out-of-this-world drawings would completely rock the face of children's literature. Thank you for everything!  Love, the Super Dee Duper Scooping it Up Crew.

This post is brought to you by cat-hair-on-the-couch close ups, Tsega's braids needing to be redone two days ago, and the insane amount of pleading and cajoling and threats it took to create five minutes of peace so we could do a craft and read some books.

And on an entirely different note, for those who come here from the author's personal Facebook page, or anyone who likes to frequent this little corner of the vast internet, I won't be indicating new blog posts anymore from my personal wall. Pretty pretty please, if you want to get updates about new posts, behind the scenes catastrophes, offer me parenting advice, express your horror, etc, please come "like" the Scooping it Up page. Be my new old friend. Dr Seuss wants you to celebrate his birthday this way.

Thanks.

Ha, I knew it, homeschooling really is all about bare toes, silly rhymes and striped pajamas until after lunch time, sweeeeetttt!!!!!
Looks good that you can keep them from gnawing the books and actually look at them, was years before we got to that point,, nicely done!

Jamie - you are sorely mistaken, Tsega's cuisine of choice are board books. He leaves the real ones alone.

What beautiful photographs. Dr Seuss himself would be proud, I'm sure. Glad to have discovered your blog!
